Getting 918Kiss onto a phone, and what the old page left out

The old 918Kiss download page had three buttons: one Android file and two iPhone builds, split by the age of the phone. "iPhone 5 above" was the 64-bit build and "iPhone 5 below" was the 32-bit one for older handsets. An even older copy of the page, now folded into this one, offered the same three files from a cloud storage bucket. Every one of those links is dead, and this page doesn't replace them. What it does is explain the steps those buttons led to.

Why 918Kiss was never in an app store

Google Play and the App Store only list real-money gambling apps from operators licensed in the country where the app is offered. Online gambling is illegal in Malaysia, so no such licence exists here. That is why 918Kiss, the app many people still call SCR888, has always travelled as a loose file: an APK for Android, or an iPhone build signed with some company's enterprise certificate.

The eleven iPhone steps, shortened

The old page showed eleven screenshots from a host that no longer exists. The routine they showed still matches current iOS:

1. After the install, tapping the icon brings up "Untrusted Enterprise Developer". Tap Cancel.
2. Open Settings > General > VPN & Device Management. Older iOS versions called it Device Management.
3. Under Enterprise App, tap the company name that signed the build.
4. Tap Trust, then Trust again to confirm.
5. The app shows as Verified and opens.

The company name changed from build to build. The old page and its merged twin named two different companies within a few months of each other, which tells you how short-lived these certificates are.

What that Trust button hands over

Trusting a developer lets every app signed with that certificate run on your iPhone, not just 918Kiss. It does not give the company control of the phone. A configuration or device management profile would, so if anyone asks you to install one of those to "fix" the app, don't. Apple revokes enterprise certificates that are used to hand apps to the public, and when it does, 918Kiss stops opening until a new build turns up signed by yet another company.

Android: one permission, then switch it off

On Android the app that opens the APK, usually Chrome or a file manager, needs the "Install unknown apps" permission. You'll find it under Settings > Apps > Special app access. Allow it for that one app, install, then turn it off again. Leave Google Play Protect on, and if it warns about the file, stop there.

Take the file only from the agent who issued your ID, and check its size and version number against what they tell you. A copy passed around in a group chat can carry anything. A slot app never needs accessibility access or permission to read SMS, and your bank TAC arrives by SMS.

What the old FAQ promised

It claimed 300 games, the "highest security access system" and giveaways for sharing ads. None of that could be checked, so it's gone.
