Star996, the odd one out on the old list
Every other entry on the old app list is a slot app with its own install page. Star996 was a betting website played in the browser.
Star996 sat on the old app list next to 918Kiss and Mega888, but it was never the same kind of thing. The other thirteen are slot apps that you install and play with an agent-issued ID. Star996 was a betting website that you opened in a browser, with sports as the main event.
What the old page described
The page was short. It said Star996 offered sports and financial betting alongside casino, games, poker and bingo rooms, all on a single wallet: one username, one password and one payment method for every section. There was no game gallery, no download button and no install page, just a link out to the site. The only pictures were the Star996 wordmark and a stock image of sports balls under a "big bets" scoreboard, and we've left both out.
It also described Star996 as properly registered and named two licensing bodies. None of that could be checked, and it's been dropped. Whatever a site says about licences, betting online from Malaysia is illegal, and a Malaysian player who loses money to an offshore site has nowhere to complain.

Not that the old site offered. Its page had a single button to the betting site, with no Android, iPhone or PC download, which is why Star996 has no install notes here.
Is Star996 licensed?
The old page named licences for its sports and casino sections. We couldn't verify any of it, so we've left those claims out. No online betting site is licensed to take bets from Malaysia.
Can I still reach Star996 through this site?
No. The old link no longer leads anywhere useful and we don't link to it. We have no connection with whoever runs that name today.
