Golden Journey: bet on a character, watch the ring light up
Twelve Monkey King legend characters in three colours, each with its own odds, plus Banker, Tie and Player. How a round of Golden Journey plays.
A countdown clock at the top reads 67 seconds, and the board below it is full of faces. Golden Journey takes the cast of Xi You Ji, the Monkey King legend: the Monkey King, a bull-horned demon, a blue-faced warrior and a girl with purple hair buns, and turns them into betting spots, the way arcade animal-wheel machines do.
The board
Each character appears three times, on a red, a green and a yellow background, so there are twelve spots. Next to each is a number, the odds for that spot. The Monkey King pays the most (30, 46 and 40 on our board), the bull demon 14 to 22, the blue warrior 9 to 12 and the girl 4 to 8. On the right are three side bets, B for Banker, T for Tie and P for Player, at 2, 8 and 2.
Pick a chip value (ours was 1), tap the spots you want, and press CONFIRM. LAST RESULT, CLEAR SPOT and CLEAR ALL do what they say. A row of small portraits at the top, marked BET HISTORY, shows recent results.
The result
When betting closes, the board clears and a ring of grey portraits lights one by one round a Heavenly Gate in the clouds. Here it stopped on the yellow Monkey King at 40, with Banker lit as the side result. Our total bet was MPV 1.00 on other spots, so the win box stayed at 0.00.
The rules page adds a bonus: land the gate symbol and the Monkey King fights one of three villains. It always wins, and pays a guaranteed prize at x1 to x5 your bet, side bets excepted.

Is Golden Journey a slot?
No. You place chips on character spots during a countdown, then a light runs round a ring of portraits and stops on one. The old page's talk of respins and a crystal ball doesn't fit the game.
What do the numbers next to each character mean?
They are the odds for that spot. On our board the Monkey King showed 30, 46 and 40 in red, green and yellow, while the girl showed 4, 8 and 7.
What are B, T and P?
Side bets called Banker, Tie and Player, shown as lettered badges. Banker and Player showed 2 and Tie 8 on our board.
