Fong Shen: cranes, a phoenix and heroes of legend

Cliffs rise out of blue mist on both sides of the reels, and the reels themselves sit in a grey stone frame, each symbol on a pale parchment tile. Fong Shen takes its name from the Chinese legend of the Investiture of the Gods, and the old page gave it no text at all. So all of what follows comes from the ten screenshots.

Heroes and animals

Four portraits fill the top symbols. There's a young warrior with a mark on his forehead, a girl in red, a woman with a feathered headdress and an old sage with a long white beard. The animals are a white crane, a flaming phoenix, a jade-green dragon with gold horns and a blue beast crouching to pounce. A round bronze medallion stamped with the character for earth turns up now and then. It stands apart from the rest, but the screens don't say what it does.

Nine lines and the panel

The LINES box reads 9 in every shot, and there's no way to change it on this panel. You set only PLAY, the stake per line. At 0.02 the TOTAL PLAY is 0.18, and in the first screenshot it's 0.10 a line for 0.90. CREDIT and WIN sit at either end, with a big gold SPIN button you can hold for autospin. Several of our shots catch the reels mid-spin, blurred.
