Fishing Star is a shooting game, not a slot. You sit at one of six cannons around the edge of a coral reef and fire at the fish that swim across it. Credit goes into every shot. A fish that goes down pays out according to its value and your cannon's level.
Picking a room
The room picker has two cards: 100 Times, marked x10 to x100, with a grinning cartoon shark, and 1000 Times, marked x100 to x1000, with a red fish. The ranges look like the spread of cannon values allowed in each room.
The old site also had a page called Fishing Star 10000. That was a higher-stake room with its own picker and a single card, 10000 Times, marked x1000 to x10000.
At the table
Three seats face down from the top edge and three face up from the bottom, each with a pink cannon, a level number and a score box. AUTO and LOCK sit on the right: auto fire, and a lock that keeps shooting at one chosen fish.
The reef holds striped reef fish, silver and golden hammerheads, a big blue fish with a gaping mouth and a large green frog with a jewel on its back. When a big one goes down, coins spill toward the seat that hit it and a wheel shows the prize, 2800 in this shot.

Not by design. The old page claimed it was an easy game to profit from, but every shot costs credit whether it hits or not, and the bigger fish take many shots. Treat it like any other game where the house keeps an edge.
